Volunteer For Learn to Row

ARC members are welcome and encouraged to help teach prospective rowers about rowing and help demonstrate techniques used on and off the water.

Volunteers will help in several ways including:

  • on the ergs
  • dock rowers
  • sculling boat set up, getting in/out
  • rowing sweep barge
  • bowing in doubles
  • rowing in eights

Learn To Row Classes are held 3 times a year. Each class session will be Wed 6 – 8 PM, Sat & Sun 11 AM – 1 PM.

Volunteer Skill Levels Needed:

Scullers:
Level I – Usually the first week of classes
Level II or III – All Wed, Sat & Sun

Sweep:
Barge Rowers & Steering – All Sat, Sun & Wed
8+Sweep Rowers, Cox & Launch Driver – All Sat, Sun & Wed
