Row for the Cure Atlanta is scheduled for Saturday, September 17th.
This is the fifth annual event that we have co-hosted with Saint Andrew Rowing Club, together with the local Susan G. Komen affiliate. AJRA, GTech and GSU clubs are also expected to participate.
More information, and sign-up instructions, are here: http://www.headofthehooch.org/R4TCAtlanta
The goal of the event is to promote the benefits of healthy living through exercise and raise money for breast cancer research. Over the past four years, ARC members have raised more than $73,000. Total raised combined with all Atlanta area rowing clubs - more than $196,000. We hope to surpass last year's fundraising efforts with our rowathon and would like to see more ARC members participate on September 17th by filling seats in the 8+ and 4x we hope to keep on the water continuously from 7AM-7PM.
We are expecting B98.5, as a sponsor, to do a remote broadcast from Azalea Park and we are also offering opportunities for the community to get in the barge and try their hand at rowing
