OUR  FLEET

Despite the tight quarters that we occupy, the club offers its members a rather large fleet of shells to use, from recreational singles to racing eights.  These shells are expensive to purchase and costly to repair, not to mention their lost availability when they are out of service  -  please take good care of your boats:  wash and dry them, and clean the runners, before you put them back onto their rack;  and don't forget to open the air vents, that is important to maintain the structural integrity of the hull.

Much damage to our shells occurs when they are taken out of their rack, or put back into it  -  scratches and dings, sometimes through the paint to the core of the hull, are a common occurance and take shells out of service.  Please move boats in and out very slooooowly and carefully, and use the foam pads to protect the boat below from scratches from the oar locks.

If you happen to cause damage to a boat, please let the equipment chair know asap, so that we can take care of the boat and put it back into service as quickly as possible.

Sculling boats have levels assigned to them:  do not row a boat beyond your own level (unless at least 50% of the crew is of the required level).

All the shells in the lower boathouse are private shells;  in the upper boathouse and in the cage, private shells are intermingled with club boats  -  do not row any private boats!  All the club boats are marked with our logo:

If the logo is not on the shell, do not row it.
